Special Exhibition
"Hiroshi Sugimoto:History of History"

Hiroshi Sugimoto (born in 1948) considers that Art is technique: a means by which to materialize the invisible realm of the mind. He collected traditional Japanese artifacts to learn from predecessors and use them in his photographs and showed interest in the history spoken by these artifacts. This exhibition, which juxtaposes his own photographic works with items from his private collection, presents some facets of Sugimoto.
