HYOGO PREFECTURAL MUSEUM OF ART (078-262-0901)

Designed by the world-renowned architect Tadao Ando, the building of Hyogo Prefectural Museum itself is known as an artwork. Exhibitions include permanent exhibitions mainly by artists who have connections with Hyogo, and special exhibitions of famous artists and of unique concept. Not only fine arts, but also various artistic events of cinema, music, fashion and classic performing arts are held.

Special Exhibition "Tadanori Yokoo: Be Adventurous!"

Tadanori Yokoo, one of Japan's leading contemporary artists, has been active across the spectrum of painting and graphic design. This exhibition displays Yokoo creations with a keyword of "Adventure" which is a familiar concept but sheds light on his true nature, as a concept. Many new works and original graphic design sketches dating from the 1960s and 1970s will be on display.
